The majority of Deerfield’s public schools rank between average to above average in the Illinois School Report card. There are also a number of private and parochial schools in neighboring areas.

There are no colleges or institutions of higher learning in Deerfield, but there are hundreds of institutions in nearby towns. Among them are several highly acclaimed universities such as DePaul, Northwestern, and University of Chicago.
