Deerfield’s Fresh Air has a Healing Quality
When my youngest son was only a few years old, he was diagnosed with asthma. Because of his illness, we had to make a lot of changes. Eventually, it got to be so bad that we had to relocate. The pollution in Chicago was too much so we decided to move to a smaller city.
I wanted my son to be able to ride his bike down the street without breathing in car exhaust. Deerfield, IL has done wonders not only for my son’s asthma, but for our family as well. It is nice to walk around our neighborhood without all the noise, lights, and traffic. Also, I absolutely love having a yard with trees and flowers. Although there are neighborhoods with greenery in Chicago, it is a lot more expensive to have a home with a large yard.
In Deerfield there is plenty of grass to go around. There are lots of parks and green areas throughout the city. I love that the kids are able to play outside without me worrying about their well-being. Although my son’s asthma has been a terrible for him, I am really grateful for what Deerfield has done for our family. We are healthier, calmer people. Our home has become a sort of sanctuary.
