I had lived in a big city all my life. When my company asked me to relocate to Deerfield, IL I didn’t know what to do. I was very happy with my company, but I loved living in a big city. I had no clue about Deerfield. All I knew was that it was a small suburb around Chicago.

I came to appreciate the quiet nights and the fresh air. I was also able to find restaurants and bars that I liked.
I moved into a small one-bedroom condo that would have been a lot more expensive in Chicago. A year after I had been living in Deerfield, my company asked me if I wanted to go back to the city or stay. I ultimately decided to renew my new contract in Deerfield. I had fallen in love with a small city, and eventually decided to buy a house there.
